The NEW Ethernet Radio

Raveon has added a new data transceiver with an Ethernet port to its product line. The Ethernet port allows for simultaneous data communications using TCP/IP sockets, and configuration via Telnet. It's ruggedized design (MIL-STD-810) makes it ideal for operations in unmaned vehicles and operations in harsh environments. Operating in the UHF 450-470MHz frequency band, the RV-M9 radio modem works over 50 miles point-to-point and many miles with omni-directional antennas.

For the past eight years Raveon has been quietly improving its line of data radios. Customers regard Raveon's products as the most reliable solutions for their critical implementations. Currently the engineering team is enhancing both firmware and software for all M7 radios. Improvements include: decreased energy consumption, wider Voltage intake range (9-30V), wide-band / narrow-band management via software and over-the-air data-rate setting changes. In addition to FCC approval the M7 radio will receive CE marking as well as Canadian DOC certification. - Since we believe we have the smartest clients .. we want to hear from you: What would you add to your radio? Here are some of the things we are thinking of:

• Main Power Out (MPO) Notification: battery-powered notifcation in case the main power source fails
