The Midwest SECURITY and POLICE Expo

DIN clipsRaveon will be exhibiting its RavTrack automatic vehicle location technology at the Midwest SECUTRITY and POLIC Expo in Chicago, IL on August 10-11. If you would like a complementary pass to the show, please contact us at sales@raveontech.com. Our RavTrack AVL system is ideal for public safety vehicle and personnel tracking. RavTrack improves productivity, officer safety, and community's security.  It speeds dispatching, and automatically identifies where resources are needed.  It allows you to see where all vehicles are right now in truly real-time, not a few minutes ago.  Updates can be as often as every few seconds.

For the first responders, the RavTrack's exclusive capability of an in-vehicle display of all other vehicle's location will reduce response time, clarify real-time the situations, and provide valuable status information to backup and support personnel. It will be demonstrated live at the MSPE show. For more information about RavTrack's police and security features, <click here>.

More information about the MSPE show may be found at: http://www.mspce.com/

Why are Raveon's Products Less Expensive than others?

Because Raveon is a low-price leader in the UHF/VHF wireless modem market, we are asked this question a lot. It is a fair question because in some instances, low-price can mean something is being sacrificed. But not with our products. For many reasons, Raveon is able to produce and offer our wireless modems at exceptional prices. These reasons are often unique to Raveon Technologies, and not only reduce cost, but increase product reliability. None of these reasons sacrifice quality or reliability. Our radio products are economical because:

  • Single board design. We combine all of the RF circuits and the modem on a single 6-layer printed circuit board.
  • Our own design. We do not purchase third-party RF modules, software libraries, or modem boards. We design and build 100% of our product.
  • ARM processor. Most of Raveon's wireless products use a powerful ARM microprocessor. It is able to do the DSP and microcontroller functions, thus eliminating many additional components in a traditional less-integrated approach.
  • Exceptional Vendor Support. We have been working with some of our key vendors for over 15 years. We receive exceptional support, quality, and delivery from our business partners.
  • High-volume production. Our product is very versatile, and can be re-configured for many different applications. This allows us to produce the same product in higher-volumes.
  • Privatly Held Company. Raveon is a privately held Corporation. Public companies and divisions of large corporations have an additional cost burden we simply do not have.
  • Low Failure Rate. Our radios are very reliable, so our yields are high, failures rates low, warranty costs low, and repairs are infrequent. Our calculated and experienced MTBF of the M7 radio modem is over 250,000 hours.
